Ok I have had the pearl since saturday the second, I havent had one issue with it until today. I entered the profile and two of the three email accounst i use I cant get into the settinsg to change anything. Every other setting works SMS, MMS Level 1 and so on. I have resent sevice books, the preverbial battery pull but still cant get into them. I have never seen this issue before and just doesnt make any sense.

Don't know if it will work, just guessing, but how about removing the service books so the email folders are removed, doing a hard reset, then resending service books. Again, just a stab in the dark.

Ok new development I cant change it in the default loud but can change to vibrate and change it. So I swapped back to loud and still no go very weird.

That is a weird one. Will be interesting to see if it eventually happens again . . . Or do you know if it was happening from the start since adding those accounts?

Do you believe a hardware fault can cause such a thing? Hard reset doesn't correct it. And strange that it worked for a little while after the wipe and OS reinstall.

couldnt be a hardware fault, has to be OS related. If it were hardware then an OS reload wouldnt fix it

Well, it was a problem over my head from the beginning. But what really throws me is why it worked for a little while after the OS reinstall, and nothing had been added.

Do you think it could be theme related, I have had every O.S. since the 8130 came out and have only used the tmo and L and BB Zen. I deleted all the other ones.

it could have been a theme issue if it, for some reason, caused an issue with the profiles, but it seems unlikely.

Ya what about wiping the BB and re-downloading the O.S.

if the OS was corrupted then reloading it would fix the issue, similar to wiping a PC with a registry corruption in windows

The OS reinstall did fix it, but only for something like an hour, more or less. Do you mean the OS instalation once on the blackberry is (maybe) getting corrupted in that period of time?

it may be the OS installaton that he is installing. Dawg what version of the OS are you using?

and what happens when you try and get into the settings of that address. does it error out, or do nothing at all?
