Ever since I got my Pearl 8130 last month, I've been having my school email pushed to the BB. My school recently changed email servers, and now Gmail is our server. However, my email address remained the same, so I'm not sure how to configure the BB to receive my school email again. I've used the Gmail instructions, and they didn't work. I also spoke with someone from my school's tech support, and he gave me the new server name, but I still can't get it to work. I think the problem is that the server isn't imap.google.com, or gmail.com, or anything to do with Gmail and my BB is having a problem recognizing it. I keep running into a wall every time I try to fix this!

try to delete the email account and re-add it just as you did before. you shouldnt have to worry about the server information.

I tried that already and I guess it still recognizes my email address on the old server, so nothing is being received on that server, even though it still exists (if that makes any sense.) My university is still in the process of moving all of the email addresses to the new server, so at this time my email address still exists on the old server.

I think I'll try to delete and re-add again, but I don't think it will work until the old server is completely gone.

can you forward email from your school address to your @alltel.blackberry.net address? If so set that up, and set the reply to address to your school email. that way in the mean time you will still get and reply to emails from your school

Since I can't get the Gmail server to configure correctly, there would be nothing for me to forward. Since all of my new email goes to the new server, the only mail that would be forwarded is what is at the old server.

I've been trying to re-configure my school account with the new server that the IT guy gave me, but it keeps giving me an error on the BIS website.
