I'm with Verizon and have had my new BB Pearl for less than one week. It is only saving 24 hours worth of text messages and calls in the call log. Verizon says my memory is low and that this is a "system issue." But I have tons of memory! My "file free" is 18879168 bytes. My "file total" is 50462720 bytes. Shouldn't that be plenty of memory to hold onto text messages and calls? I have a media card with only 9 pictures on it. I have deleted the applications for Russian Characters, Semitic Characters, BB MEssenger which I won't be using, and the Sample Video. I changed the calendar to only save appointments for 15 days.
Could there be a setting I'm not aware of for how long text messages and calls are saved? (i.e. currently set to "save for only 24 hours")??

Yeah mine is doing this too...makes no sense as I have over 10mb of free memory. All the other memory fixes have been done too, but I lose call logs [only] from after like 3-4 days.
Hi Doug. Nope, no new themes, no new applications. I took the battery out for a few minutes and put it back in....
The 18mb is after the battery pull, I am sure it was much lower before. You should also properly close applications using the Menu>End or Escape key. Not the Red End key which will leave it running in the background.

10mb is way too low. You need to review the link about and free some space!
I had the same issue. Pull any of your own photos off the BB memory. That is what i did and it seems to be fixed, 4 days and counting and no deleting on its own.
My girlfriend was having the same problem on a regular basis and I had it happen once a long time ago. When comparing our file free I had much less free space than her. What was different however was our reserved media space in the media settings. Her's was set to 15mb while mine was set to 12mb. We have since changed her setting to 12mb and she hasn't mentioned losing any messages or call logs since.
