Just bought a Pearl 8100 and trying to synch with Outlook. Although have set language as english it is picking up fields in Outlook in some foreigh language - looks like Russian or Finnish. Can't understand what it is doing. Any ideas how I can get it back to showing Outlook fields in English?

Well if it's set to English then try a hard reset (Battery Pull while the device is on).

thanks but this makes no difference. when I click on the synch button in the Deskyop Manager software on the PC, it tells me it is synching with Microfoft Outlook and then uses some foreign words I don't understand. Also the dialog comes up in a foreign langauge on the PC.

I have tried removing the software and re-loading to no effect.

Did you download the software here? If not, try downloading the latest version.

I have now downloaded the new software and it has brought everything back to English. Thanks for your help - it was wierd seeing messages in what appears to have been Turkish. By the way, the new software took 2 hours 40 mins to download on my broadbband connection!
