Default 4GB SanDisk Problem

If you are attempting to use it on the BB 8100, there is a size limitation of 2GB.

If another phone, (that supports 4GB), you have to format the 4GB micro sd while installed in the phone, THEN put your data on, either through the BB Manager, or through your desktop/pc utilizing the sd card, which should be enabled for mass storage mode support.

(Either way, the micro sd needs to be formatted while installed in the phone, but I'm sure you already knew this....,) :^)

Just to avoid any confusion, that is not accurate. 8100's with OS 4.2.1 and above support 4GB media cards.

I got an 8 gig from VZW when I got my phone. I just stuck it in and started using it. I have copied about 3 gig of stuff to it using Media Manager and it seems to be fine. I never formatted it at all.

Options/Media Card shows Total Space: 7.6GB, Free Space: 5.7GB.
