Is there built-in internal memory to where I can save apps/mp3/pics or do I need to get a microsd card?

Yes, there's internal device memory. Don't quote me on this, but I want to say it's 64MB (but less available because of internal programs, etc)

There is some internal memory but not much (less than 64MB). You need to get a memory card.

you are correct. (well technically they say 65mb.) You can do anything on the device except video with this memory. However the more you install on the device, the less memory you have, and after a while your device will start cleaning memory (deleting messages/calender items, etc) and showing the hour glass alot. its best to use a media card to store mp3s, pictures, and ringtones

When I install apps, will I be installing on the sd card or internal memory?

Just a word of advice, i kept saying to myself "oh i don't need a memory card because i won't install much." One day i left too many programs running went to an email and opened an attachment without even thinking. Closed the attachment and all my emails, call log, and sms messages were gone that i had been waiting to read. It wasn't Little Berry's fault (yes i named my phone), he was just doing his job but it stunk.

Save the headache and get a memory card.

Apps install to internal memory. Memory card is only for picutes, videos, ringtones, wallpapers, etc.

The programs will go to the internal memory. You can't install to the SD. One of the few things I am disappointed with my BlackBerry.

With only 65mb of internal memory, you won't be able to have much apps install is that right? I've got a handful of apps installed on my 7100i but I'm not sure how much internal memory is has.

i have 15apps installed on my 8310, and run about 20mb free at any given time. You just have to make sure you dont have extra stuff on your device. Follow this http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ee-memory.html to free up memory

Does memory affect the performance of the internet on the BB? Will it affect lets say while I'm watching youtube videos?
