Default Flashing red led

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone.

Here is my deal.
I woke up one day and to my disbelief my always loyal ATT blackberry pearl refused to turn on and only flashes it's red LED light (1x, pause, 4x).

Here is what I have heard;

1) OS problem go to DM and reload OS. (my pearl won't connect)
2) Use USB:UNKNOWNPIN and then use APP loader to reload OS. (This works, however stalls when trying to initialize the device.)
3) Use JL_CMD to completely wipe device (This acts like it works, but is unable to open port)

I am really depressed about this situation and had heard from a coworker that this forum is nothing but a vast base of knowledge for exactly my problem.

So I hope one of you can find a little time to help me with my problem, and many thank you's in advance.

they wont be able to tell you anything different than the process listed here. your best bet would be going to an ATT store to get the device swapped or upgraded. as long as there is nothing physically wrong with the device the above method should work. I have used it many times when i somehow uncover errors that RIM hasnt heard of
