I know you can hold the caps button to alternate b/w vibrate and normal. Sometimes this doesn't work though, anyone know if there's a bug with the OS or something? It won't change with the shortcut until I go and manually switch the profile to either normal or vibrate, and then it'll work again.

Either way, that's not really my question but a random sidenote. Sometimes when I hit the unlock key sequence (alt + talk), the first thing that pops up is the profile window where I can change my profile. Is there a shortcut to bring up that window that I might accidentally be hitting, or is it just another weird glitch?

There is no other shortcut on the Suretype devices. Full Qwerty devices have shortcuts.

So then it's just being glitchy when it comes up after I unlock the keyboard?

it should be *+talk not alt+talk to unlock the device shouldnt it? or were you able to change it?
the only thing i can think of is that you are selecting the profile application at the same time as unlocking
