Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Go to sticky at top of this 8100 threat the latest OS is likely posted there along with complete instructions on how to install

installing the os again does usually work, but if you have time, just waiting it out a few days works for me most of the time.

if you still have problems you can use JL_Cmder to reinstall the blackberry OS. since i've had this problem also and upgrading didnt fix it, but JL_Cmder did...
there should be enough threads in this forum on how it works...

Okay I have the same error... tried reloading the os with JL_Cmder 3 times and nothing

Tried reloading the os following the alternate instructions found here 5 times and nothing...

tried upgrading to the newest os and nothing

getting really tired and frustrated (8130 btw)

Someone here has to know what to do

App error 523 usually is due to an application that the BB doesn't agree with. What 3rd party applications have you installed to your BB? You can usually remove the application with Application Loader while the hourglass is spinning and revive the device without wiping it. Sometimes it does have to be wiped, though.
