Default 8130 Calendar Issue

Please Login to Remove!

Alright, just got the Pearl not only two days ago and I am loving it. Although I have had one very weird issues (but I'm hoping not too weird and someone has a simple solution to this).

I use Outlook like my life depends on it, I transfered my some odd 150 contacts over without a hitch. Even deleting them in Outlook and having them automatically deleted in the BB was seamless. The same was for Memo and Tasks.

Although when it transfered over the Calendar for some reason or another it duplicated my schedule on top of itself. This may sound confusing so let me explain. So for this week I have the same dates booked twice during the same time slot.

Example: Monday - BDC Meeting at 2pm is entered twice (giving me a conflict message when you edit details). The thing is, it's the exact same meetings at the same time but displaying it twice.

Does anyone know how to make sure that when it transfers the calendar from Outlook to Blackberry and back, it will do this properly next time?

Thank you very much.

Hustle, welcome to the BBF.

That happened to me week before last and I suffered through the duplicate appointments a few days until I could no longer.

Plug in your BB, open up Desktop Manager go to backup and restore, Then go to advanced on the right side delete your calendar on your BB, exit that and re-sync. It should fix the problem.

I have a related problem. After my last sync, I somehow had duplicate appointments on my calendar. I followed the procedure and although this removed the duplicates, it did not clear out the original appointents. Now when I go to Backup/Restore > Advanced it shows no data in my calendar, even though the "original entries" are all there. If I sync again, I get the duplicates back.

Delete the events as you are, pull the battery or your BB while it's powered on, for a hard reset. Then re-sync your BB, with Outlook or what ever you use, because when you do a restore your just putting everything back the way it was.
