Hey People'

I installed the opera mini on my T-mobile blackberry 8100 pearl. but i cant get it to work i dont have a data plan but i do have tha blackberry feature enabler when i try to connect it keeps telling me failed to connect to internet and to go on my desktop internet to http://www.operamini.com/help?version=4.0 i typed in wap.voicestream.com on the tcp on options and i also have tryed a few other tcp and i still cant get it to connect. can anyone help me please i would really Appreciated.

The feature enable does not provide data service, I believe.

I'm gonna stay away from the "new thread" button.. and post my opera problem here *cheer* and I hope its not answered somewhere else.. Search didn't help me much =/

I'm using an 8100 (4.2.1.107)
I downloaded Opera Mini.. and I was happy once I got it to work. It worked for, as far as I know, a day.. *I still use the browser more often than not because I really don't care*

I was in some guys car *insert funny joke/whatnot here*... and it wouldn't work. Neither did the browser, so I said ok, maybe this garage I'm in, in the back seat of some car, has something to do with this problem. So I went home, lo and behold, browser works. No dice on opera though.

It gets to the Opera home page, then when I click anything it gives me this:

Failed to connect to the Internet.
100
java.io.IOExeption: Open tunnel - failure

Any suggestions? I do have a data plan, and the normal browser works just fine, java is enabled, unless there is another setting in opera itself I'm not seeing.. Worst comes to worst I'll just delete the app, I don't use it enough anyway to warrant that little bit of space it takes ;). But I'm still on the whole, "dang it it should work!" kick.

My past problems with OM could usually be broken down into 2 catagories.
1. Make sure your APN under TCP is set properly:
APN: wap.voicestream.com (double check spelling)

2. Conflicting software running in the background:
For me, for the longest time, it was SimulSays that was causing a conflict with OM for me. I found the fix in their FAQ. Also Berry411 and BBWeather caused conflicts for me as well.

Since learning these 2 things, there hasn't been a time that I couldn't get any version of Opera Mini to work. I hope this helps.

Haha, I got sucked into my dads problems tonight.. went from a pearl to a curve, and has some.. pretty major issues haha!

I'll try putting the APN back. I know I had to have that in there to install, but it seems to have disappeared whether through my own deleting, or a reset. I'll let ya know though =D

Ok. Putting back in the APN did solve these issues! TY!
Now my next question will seem odd. How the crap do you delete the program?
It's not in my application loader on the DM, its not in my application list on my phone, and there isn't an option within the program itself =/
