Default Memory still not optimized

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys what's up, I went through the entire Optimizing my BB Pearl thread and I went through everything, and everything went through smoothly, before I had about 3-4 MB of free space which was very little, but after all that Optimizing stuff (Which worked great!) I now have like 11.2 MB of free space, but I hear other people with over 20MB of free memory? What is it that I'm not doing right? I don't have many applications, I have Sprint Navi, Google Maps, I deleted BBM and all applications that I wont use and don't need. I expected to have over or atleast close to 20MB free, but I only have 11 or so, any help/suggestions? I have Sprint but with the Verizon theme, When I put in all the themes, I deleted all the ones I did not need, plus the wallpapers and the sample video... My 1GB MicroSD is near capacity, but that is I think a seperate entitity so it shouldn't affect it, anyway, help? Please?

Doesn't google maps and Sprint Navi serve the same purpose? Map applications are big. By "When I put in ALL the themes" and you deleted the native ones does this imply you loaded third party themes? Themes take up huge amounts of space, you can only use one at a time....How many do you have? Consider dropping it to one, maybe two. Are you sure there are no pics or music on the device memory. Double check. Last do you have emails with attachements? Goto Messages>Menu>Search>Type= Email with attachments (delete them if you don't need them. Do you get a lot of MMS? Delete them if you can.
Lastly, is the 11MB right after a battery pull? If not, pull the battery and see how much you have. If it increases you need to properly close application rather than leaving them running in the background where they will continue to eat memory!

I hope this helps and good luck!

Go to Options >Status >menu key >Select "database sizes." Do you have any in there that are real big?

I only have the original BB themes which I was told is best to just leave alone, even though they are huge files, I only have the Original Sprint theme and the Verizon theme (which is the one I'm using) I'm deciding to hold on to the Sprint for the time being, but yes I've done everything you guys have suggested, except for the battery pull, which I just did, now it's showing 18.8MB of free space!! Thanks guys! I can't believe of all the things, I forgot to do the most basic one of them all, lol.. It's like you check the outs and ins of the computer networking system to see why the network is down and the whole time it's because the cable is unplugged, lol.. Thanks guys I still feel I should have more than that because I'm not flooded with apps and games or anything of such, but I'm happy with 18.8 anyway, but if any of you guys have any suggestions to make it even more, possibly over 20mb, please do share... For the record I've done EVERYTHING in from that optimizing post... Great post, greatest I've read so far, lol...
