Default MMS messages not coming through fully. - 02-20-2008, 01:33 PM

I recieve them initially. When I open the message it says "could not retrieve message content. Try Again Later".

***Not Retreived Yet***

Then i try to retrieve it. And it just hangs.

You could try a battery pull to see if that works. If you are on T-Mobile then it might just be the network. I haven't been able to send or receive them in several days. And others have stated that the Pearl is giving them problems on T-Mobile as well.

I called t-mobile. They had me do different types of things even full well knowing that one of there towers is down in my area. DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN! don't you think they would try to get that tower back up as soon as possible. That is why for about a month now i get little service where I sit. When I used to pull next to FULL coverage. Damn AT&T building is next to me I'm sure that tower is NEVER down.

Well I did try the send myself a picture thing to help a little. It did but still i shouldn't have to do that every time I receive a picture I want to view.

Tmobile has been having some data probems in the last few days, but the same type of thing happens to me all the time. Ill "retrieve" and then it just comes up a blank page. Certain carriers sometimes don't mix with others... But its done it to me coming from other tmo phones, Verizon, and att... I think it just has to do with carrier compatibility?

Hey!

I have the same problem w/ my phone, but I can't recieve mms from my other t-mobile friends. I can receive mms from other people on other carriers, so I just find it weird. I did call t-mobile and they had me do something, but it didn't work for me.

I don't care anymore because all the people I know with t-mobile know the some of the same people as me, so I recieve it from one of them.

That's the thing that confuses me too.. I have a friend with a Razr2... and half the time if she sends me a pic it comes up blank... So I'm not sure what the deal is.. I've even had other blackberry phones send me a pic, and have it retrieve blank.. I see it more with motorola phones than anything across all the companies though. A friend with a verizon krazr would send stuff and I'd retrieve it blank. So I'm not sure totally what the deal with it is o.0 Phone compatibility? And carrier?
*sigh*

I just tell people to send pix to my blackberry email, saves the hassle of will it or wont it work :P

I have the same issue. I saw a post elsewhere to change your MMS settings under options to Home Only for automatic retrieval and reception. So far, I havent had a problem receiving mms from tmo or other carriers since I changed it

I'll have to try that and see what happens :P thanks for the idea!

--edit--
Lol, mine was already on home only, so I guess that hasn't helped me much =/
