K-la, tap the green dial button on your phone. Enter a phone number in the area where it is intended... you don't hear a key tone?

You can't turn the tones off but you can dial via the address book without tones being heard.

And you can dial a number from an email, etc, with no tones, by clicking on the link.

I was wondering the same thing for the first couple days as well. i did find a way to silence that key beep when dialling though.
-scroll and click on the profile app.
-scroll down and click on advanced
-scroll over quiet and click the menu button
-click edit
-then scroll down to phone
-take mute off
-adjust all settings to your preference
-save
Viola now you have a silent key tone dial.

This thread is eight months old and had been dormant until now...

In OS 4.5 (and 4.3, too, I think) putting your phone on Quiet or Vibrate will silence the dialing tones.
