AS the pearl/blackberry website here in blighty is highly confusing as to what is the latest model, can someone advise the best BB to upgrade to currently.

Really miss video content, and would like to view .pdf's etc.

Also, i feel the bb pearl 8100 falls down when it comes to just being a phone, any of the new one's any better.

Well the 8120 and 8130 are improvements over the 8100. But only in terms of slight changes and additional features. Both models feature a better camera and video recording. Additionaly, the 8120 features WiFi whereas the 8130 features a built-in GPS receiver.

Unfortunately you're still only able to view pdfs as email attachments. I really doubt that this might change in the future.

To view pdfs from your SD card there is MobiReader though. This software is made to read eBooks on your BlackBerry. It works great, but you'd have to use a PC to convert pdfs to the MobiReader format.

What about the curve, would that be an improvement?

Neither about the pdfs, nor about the media. What video content are you talking about?
