Default Installing 3'rd Party Software - 02-26-2008, 10:20 AM

I just downloaded a weather utility program comprised of two files (.alx and .cod). I cannot see how to install this program from my deskktop manager. My manager only has 4 menu items (media manager, synchronize, backup/restore and switch devioce wizard) and nothing I can see for installation of programs...help !

Application Loader is what you need... are you using Desktop Manager version 4.3?

Are you on a BES? It's possible that feature has been locked out.

I don't believe I'm on BES...I have Verizon and use my desktop Outlook which bumps my email to me.

I do have Desktop manager 4.3.0.15 but no "application loader"

You may need uninstall, and reinstall it.

But first, for grins, just close DM, completely. Unplug your BB. Reboot the PC, and try DM again.

I've never heard of Application Loader not being in there unless it was blocked by an IT policy.

I would uninstall Desktop Manager and reinstall. Make sure you have admin privileges on your computer.
