Is Opera Mini 4.0 supported by the verizon pearl? On the opera site it states that it does not support it(see link). I loaded over the air with no problem and everything seems to be working. Just wondering. Also it said something about wanting to connect to a lower broswer??

It is not "supported" in the sense if you have a problem, VZW is not going to be helping you solve it. But it does work.

If you try to download from OM, it will attempt to use the BB browser to do so. If you don't have a Data Plan that allows the BB browser to be ininstalled , it is a no go.

It ask if it's ok to grant access to low level networks, Is this ok? I do have a data plan so the download is easy.

The other part I've read about a higher version download? Is this something to worry about?

Also is it better to download over the phone directly or via a pc.

You might want to look into the APN settings. I think there are VZW settings.

(VZW is the devil you know)

Do a search for "blackberry modem", there is a whole thread on APN/TCP settings.

I did the APN Modem search. However when looking in option<advance options I do not see a place for TCP or APN?

There is no place to enter those settings on a VZW device. Opera Mini should work just fine.
