So i added an additional email to my BB. I added my corporate email, they allow web access, and i put in my user name and pwd and noticed this

1. BB went and found out what address to use to get to the secure web mail access. Not sure how.

2. It apparently polls and gets me new message every few minutes and not instantaneously.

3. Company has an IMAP access which teh iPhone guys are using, how do i get my BB to use the imap setting and would this give me emails instantly or would it poll every few minutes?

It won't matter what you do...BIS only provides email at the frequency you're getting now. Up to 15 minutes or so...

maybe i should send a copy of my work emails to my vzw bb account.

Possible, just make sure you aren't violating any email/security guidelines. My workplace specifically forbids forwarding emails to outside email accounts.

if he worked for any kind of company that had somewhat important data going out in emails then i am sure if they had a somewhat intelligent IT group then they would implement policies for their mail servers. if it was a security issue then they would clearly disable POP3/IMAP if he is not on a BES
