Default WTF! Lost SMS

Please Login to Remove!

Ok i am well aware that when the BB device runs out of system memory is deletes the sms and call logs but i have 12mb of free memory and it just deleted all my sms and call logs!!! WTF!?!? the only thing the device was doing was i was logging into my yahoo sn and aim sn at the same time on Jive Talk and the device locked up for a second while it was loading my buddies. Is it possible that the device will think its out of system memory if the cpu is overloaded?

no actually i have to do that but what i am saying is that at 12mb the system shouldnt be deleting my sms and call logs. i have only ever had that happen when the free memory is 1mb or less. I dont see why this would have happened expect if the cpu gets to overloaded and the device thinks its out of memory when its really not

12M is right around where my 8130 will start to act really flaky. IMO, I think the 4.3 OS is unstable since my 4.2 8830 can get down as low as 7M and never lose data.

You have 4.5M, which is VERY low. You should do a battery pull immediately, if not sooner, to free up some space.

And what setting did you try to change?

I am surprised these links haven't been provided yet. Try following these to free up some memory.

They have been provided so many times I am tired of repeating. So I just answered his question.

I installed the new OS and surprisingly i notice some differences. A few glitches have been fixed and the memory is way better. with my previous OS i had the most at a battery pull 13mb of free space. now with the new OS i have 18mb. so obviously they made some good memory tweaks.
