Default Ringer Issue

Please Login to Remove!

I have the most recent updated Pearl from Verizon. My job requires me to drive a lot. I like to use the hands free (stereo ear buds) that cam with the device. However, like the 8830 before the pearl, you can not hear the ringer in the ear buds by default. That's the background.... fast forward...

Last week, not knowing how I did it, my ringer started ringing in my ear buds! It seemed like Christmas to me! It worked like that for about a week... then something else happened and it doesn't work any more.

For one week I had all of my alerts, my ringers, and i could hear dialing all in my hands free ear buds.

Now i'm really hoping someone here knows how to turn that feature back on and can tell me how I did it. It's a feature I value greatly... PLEASE HELP ME. ;)

Thanks,
~C

That is really strange. I never have had the actual ringtone through my BT earpiece. There is not a setting to turn that on and off.

I dont think he is talking about BT I think he means the headset that comes with the Pearl.

Yes, in this case I'm asking about the non-BT hands free ear buds that come with the Pearl. However, it could also apply to all non-BT - hard-wired - hands free devices for the Pearl.

Again, I really hope someone can point me in the right direction - if it is an actual feature (as it should be).

I just tested mine and it did not ring through the head set.

As a side note I had my BB plugged into my stereo in my truck and it rang and I answered it not thinking about it still being plugged in and I could hear the whole conversation through the car stereo speakers and I didn't have to pick up the phone and hold it either.
