Ringer really low?

Hey everyone, on my 8130 the ringer is very low to my liking. Is there anyway to change that? I changed it to escalating and had someone call me with the phone in my pocket and I can barely or not at all hear it. The ringer is way too low for anyone to hear it at all. When I play media files its WAY louder than my ringer is, so there has to be a way to get it as loud as my music, right?

what ringer do you have set as default? second change your profile setting to loud not escalating. try choosing a different ringer.

True, escalating is not loud at all. Do as stated above.

If you need some LOUD ringtones, look here:

I have music as my BB ringer, and I would like to keep it that way. The defaults are somewhat higher than the music ringer. I have no idea why the music ringtone isnt loud, because I had a voyager, which sucked and traded in for a BB!=) the music ringer on that phone was really loud, is BB's just bad with music ringers?

JSanders 03-01-2008 11:46 AM

Mine is not, very very loud on the loud "music ringers" as you say. Some models do have an issue though.

lol, the Green Acres theme for one.

There are many threads around here on louder ringtones and music. You may want to edit and record you own music ringtones and pump up the volume all the way.

Dawg 03-01-2008 03:15 PM

try cellsea.com I get all mine from there or jsanders site

Papa-Pompous 03-01-2008 03:44 PM

Yeah my mp3 tones work fine as ringers, but as said by JSanders I would go with the whole making your own ringtones and tuning up the volume. I have one that is almost too loud for the speaker. I use PhoneZoo.com personally, its completely free and you do everything. It's simply awesome. Good Luck!

thanks for all the feedback, I actully made the music ringtone I used for it. I used Audacity to create it and everything.
