Question Disable email account???

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to disable an email client so I do not get the email from that account all of the time? I would think that there would be a way to do this without deleting the account all together?
Thanks,
Rick

Yes, Options > Mobile Network > Data Services = OFF.

that will do it.

And, welcome to the BBF.

Thanks,

Or if it's just one account and you want to keep other data functions like text just login to you BIS account. Once you are there just uncheck "Forward to Handheld". Please note that no messages received between you uncheck and re-check it will be delivered to the device.

Good Luck!

Thank you for the response. Will this work for just one account? I have 3 accounts in my BB and only want to "disable" one of them? Or will turning DATA services OFF disable all of the accounts?
thanks again,
Rick

Data off will not disable them but rather not let you use any data send/receive. to disable one account either a) delete the service books for that account (options > advanced > service books > find all with that email account) and this will prevent emails from coming to the device (this is only temporary because any HRT registering or pulling of the battery will bring them back) or b) go into your BIS account and either put in the incorrect password in the edit field, or delete the account altogether (this will stay disabled until you go in and fix it)

Rickk do it as described by Thatz and Sith. your original question didn't mention three accounts. If you do it as I described you will disable ALL data. The way they describe is more complicated, but it is what you will need to do, to achieve your goal.
