I bought an unlocked phone that says Rogers on it.
The guy at the store told me it was the same exact thing.
I've been getting dropped calls a lot. I called T-Mobile for help
and they said they won't support my phone because it's Rogers
and it says Version 4.2.1.94

I was reading posts about how to install the T-Mobil OS.
Should I try it? Do you think it will fix my problems?
I don't need the My Faves stuff and will delete it anyway.

I would put the latest version of the 8100 software onto the phone.

As it happens, it was released by Rogers. All of the code is written by RIM, and tested and released by the carriers.
