Default Automatic update of time zone

Please Login to Remove!

I don't understand why a phone like the blackberry does not update time zone when I travel. I've had the most dinky phones in the past and they all at least updated the time automatically when I would fly from and to school. Is there something wrong with my blackberry or do they just not automatically change the time zones? Let me know.

There isn't anything wrong with it -it's designed to not change time zones on purpose.

I read that it's because of the calendar application - it won't change all your appointments unless you want it to by changing the time zone.

I wish there was a way to make it automatic. For someone who doesn't use the appointment feature and needs to change the time zone multiple times a week, it surely makes sense.

On the other hand, it makes no sense as to remove the feature completely. As I understand, you can specify the time zone when you set your appt, so whats the need to NOT change it automatically?

Opinions on this are strong. I personally prefer it set manually so as to not screw my calendar up. Having the option to make it automatic would be nice, but it doesn't seem to be a priority for RIM.
