welcome to the forums. i have changed the 1800 to 8100 as that is the pearl model. you can contact your carrier and they will give you the unlock code (generally for free on Tmobile USA not sure about other versions of Tmo)

If you can not get it from your carrier let you can search the forum for a few companies that do it a lot cheaper than $100

that shouldnt matter on Tmo. If you have service through them you should be able to just call and ask for the unlock code. the same goes for the companies that unlock on here, shouldnt matter location.

yes... that was established. you called the carrier and they want to charge you $100 for the unlock code? if so, try a search on these very boards. try gsmphonesource for one, thats one i have used in the past

Just go on Ebay and search for unlock codes for BB and your should get your problem resolved. Thats what I did on mine because it was from "movistar" and i got it unlocked tru Ebay for I think it was $40 usd. Now I can use it with any carrier. Hope this helps
