Hello all,

Im looking to download a few ringtones to add to the boring ones that come preinstalled. I was told by sprint that since I have a "Blackberry" that I have to purchase a $20 package. I really don't want that, I don't want any recurring monthly charges, I dont mind paying a few dollars for each ringtone but I just want good quality ringers. Can i transfer music from my itunes library to use as ringers? Please give me the names of good quality sites that I dont have to pay recurring charges. Im bored with these ringers and Ive only had the phone a week.

=P I use wave pad and cut 20sec. pieces of songs I want from my library, then use DM to put em on =)

I can't seem to find the "free" wave pad though, so every 14 days I have to uninstall and re-install it (that's when the trial expires)
you're only supposed to use trials once though I thought =)

I have a media card in my phone already but I do i know if it is saving to the media card and not the phone? I know sometimes it asks you where to save it but I downloaded 2 games last night and there were installed on my application section. I wanted them to save to my media card but it never asked me what i wanted. Just curious. I downloaded them from mobilerated.com

Games and apps automatically save to the phone if I remember right.
Most media (pictures, ringtones, music) you can use Desktop Manager and drag and drop to the card instead of the phone itself via Media Manager.
I'm not totally sure, but it seemed with my phone that most media I saved (taking pictures, saving pictures from MMS) went automatically to my card instead of my phone

Everyone talks about the desktop manager and I dont think I got that. PLease correct me if im wrong but all that came in my box was the blackberry user tools disc, is that the same as desktop manager?

Yeah, on that CD comes Desktop Manager
Somewhere on that CD it'll ask you to install it
I just don't remember exactly where haha... I might have to go test it now on my own :P

Yupp, I put in my cd, once it had me choose my language my first option is "Blackberry Desktop Software" And that's the same as Desktop Manager

I never realized there was a "Learn to Type with Suretype" option on the cd... That makes me laugh a little =)

just loaded the disc and I have a mac computer. all is gives me the option to do is download pocketmac. It seems to let you just sync contacts, tasks, etc. .. It doesn't seem to let me do anything else.

Ah! Well this is where I become unable to help :P

If I have heard right, Desktop Manager doesn't work on a mac... BUT there are other programs that do the same that do..
Don't quote me on that though :P
Go over to the mac users part of the forum and browse over there, I haven't been there, but I'm pretty sure it'll have the software you can use
