Default Magnet on 8130???

Please Login to Remove!

I had some paper clips sitting on my desk and my 8130 was right next to it. I went to pick up my phone and it passed over the paper clips and realized the paper clips had stuck to the phone, where the camera area is located. Is this normal???

yes.
the magnet is what puts your BB to sleep when you slip it into the case. Atleast thats what i've been told and read elsewhere.

ohhh...that makes sense. I had the 7100i previously and I was aware of magnets in the case but not in the phone.

yeah it had me wondering too lol, no worries...hopefully that helps you out. Now thats just what i was told, so if anyone stumbles on this thread and has actual factual info then please let us know. other then that, i was told and read in many places that it has to do with the BB sleep function.

the magnet baldie is refering to is the magnets for the speaker it has nothing to do with the sleep function.

The magnet that puts it to sleep would be on the holsters

Lol, that's what I was gonna say..
I took the back off my phone and was playing with that magnet the other day.
(I do this with the subs in my car too, it's great cuz those magnets are huge!)

As far as I've noticed, it's the magnet for the speaker
