Does ATT allow you to make calls over WiFi? We have been relocated to the basement within our building and currently have no coverage through ATT. I know they have the 8820 and the 8120 that have WiFi so will I be able to make calls over WiFi?

ATT will never go VOIP according to them. They are focused on more business type initatives such as office reach. Their approach is designed to be different from T-Mobile and not have their WiFi designed on personal users and focus on something that would better suite the larger enterprise.

This is for a business but I can understand that each carrier is going to make decisions as to what they think is best for their company. Looks like I will be switching over to T-Mobile.

come on over i switched from ATT to T-mobile and couldnt be happier
