She may have run low on memory (Device freezing) thinking the keyboard wasn't working because nothing was happening. I know it's a new device
but check her memory. Menu>Options>Status (What is the file free?). Have her do a hard reset (Battery pull while the device is on) and make sure she closes programs using Menu>End (Or Close) or the Escape key. DO NOT use the Red end key as it will just place it in the background, enough apps in the background your memory get's low and you have issues.
