Does anyone know if the Seidio 2600mAh Extended Battery advertised for the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 works on the BlackBerry Pearl 8130? Is the problem that the replacement battery cover doesn't have cutouts fitting the horizontal camera arrangement of the 8130? Anybody have any insights on whether Seidio will be making a version of this battery for the 8130?

And yes, I am aware of the 1250mAh battery for the 8130, but that's only a 30% improvement over the original rather than a 170% improvement. (1250MAH OEM SIZED EXTENDED LIFE BATTERY FOR BLACKBERRY 8130 / 8120 - BASI12BBX4S)

Also, does anyone who is using said battery know of good cases/covers/skins that fit with the fat battery?

That being said and as you eluded to, the 8100 battery cover that comes with it does not fit the 8130. And it's not just because the cut-outs for the camera do not match. The tabs on the cover that interlock with the case are not in the same location.

I have used my 8130 with the 2600mAh battery to watch videos on long airline flights. You just have to leave it's backside open (kind of like a hospital gown)

I have not seen any skins or cases that would work with the 8130/2600mAh battery combination.

Please post here if you find something that works. I would jump on it in a flash!

Hmm...If it does power and run the 8130, why not get a bunch of people to pressure Seidio to make a battery cover? Lots of people have complained about poor battery life on the 8130 (probably especially on the CDMA versions).
