i've searched this forum a million times and can't seem to quite find the solution for the time issues with the 8100. can anyone help?

here are my questions:

1. should the date/time option be set to "network", "blackberry" or "off"? it doesn't seem to make any difference because it doesn't seem to sync to the correct time whenever i travel to a different time zone.

2. ever since DST took effect last week, all my outlook appointments are an hour early on my calendar. my secretary put them in on our office computer before DST took effect. what do i do to fix them?

3. is the t-mobile network not able to sync the correct time when you change time zones? it's about the only thing i miss from sprint...

Are you on BES or do you synch via cable? What version is your OS. Menu>Options>About

Secondly, when you goto Options what is the first thing that is listed?

1) BES, through work. no cable sync.

2) software is 4/2/0/64. i know it's old, but it's stable and i got concerned about all the problems people had with various upgrades.

3)first thing listed under options is About, then Advanced options.

First thing listed on that OS should be the "2007 DST Patch". Since you on such an old OS it is needed. The newer ones are covered. Sounds like you need to install the DST patch on the device(s).

OTA download of the 2007DST patch from blackberry.com seems to have fixed the problem.

Where did you find the update for OTA? I don't want to have to remote into a users computer to install the update over the wire.

couldnt find it there. I found it at www . blackberry . com / dst2007 using a search through this website.
