Exclamation email support help please

Please Login to Remove!

Okay I have just started with a new employer and they require you to provide the phone. Just purchase the Pearl a few months back and now that we are moving forward I was told that I must have a phone with Windows 5 or 6 on it??? This makes no sense to me! How does having windows allow or not allow me to get my emails to my blackberry?

Would this not be the same set up process? or would there be something in Windows that we dont have that could be an issue? I love this phone and dont want the MotoQ or a Windows phone....

Anyone that has info or may be of help i greatly appreciate it.

Thank You!

The sys admin in me says get the Mobile phone and conform to the company standards. The side of me that had a Windows Mobile 6 phone and couldn't wait to get back to my BB understands!

It sounds like to me that since they obviously don't have BES that you would have to use BIS. I would think that is what you are using now. If so, I would think there is probably a simple way to make it work. It appears that the new company just is a Windows Mobile shop and wants everyone to play along.

You need to find out their email configuration and hook your BB up to receive those types of emails. It probably won't hurt anything to try and make it work. The worst case is you have to go get a Mobile phone.

Thanks, dont want to cause any troubles...guess lack of understanding why it wont work. as i cant get them to confirm or anything. its windows phone or nothing. interesting that i have to provide the phone at my expense but then they tell me it has to be Windows base? never heard of this and many of places i have worked have had both going from one to the other. personally i hated the Q i last had from previous employer. I am going to keep pushing my mgr to look into it. for a new sales rep for them you would think they would make sure i had this in a heart beat and not make something so simple an issue
