I just got a pearl 8100, and a 1gb micro sd. The only problenm is that the phone doesn't see the card. It keeps telling me that "a media card is not presently inserted in the device." Please help.

Also, try seeing if your computer picks up the media card even though your phone doesn't. Try pulling the battery out while the phone is still on, and put it back in after a few seconds, and see if that helps. Also maybe try powering down, taking out the card, turning the phone on, then back off, and re-insert the card
