Wirelessly posted (8310)

ATT has an SMS page on their website. I believe you have to be logged in to your account.

You can SMS from any email address for free. (aside from the cost of your internet.

If you use Sprint, put your (phone #)@messaging.sprintpcs.com.
If you use AT&T, put your (phone #)@txt.att.net
If you use Verizon, put your (phone #)@vtext.com

If these do not work, have the person send a text to your email and it will show the full address. AT&T has others depending on if you are AT&T or Cingular. Also, where I say Phone #, this is the phone number of the person you are sending the text.

You can also use @teleflip and then you don't have to know what carrier someone is on. Just send to the persons 10 digit number like this:

[email address]

The service is free to use but the receiving device may incur a charge per text.

You can send SMS from your PC from T-Mobile website... https://my.t-mobile.com/Communication/ . . . need to login with your account info, but this utility is only good if sending to T-mobile subscribers...
and Welcome to the BB Forums!

Are the charges mentioned standard text charges? This would solution is much better than guessing the provider. Also, can the person still reply the same or does this affect that?
