In perusing the board, I see references to "event log". Is this the same as call log? If not, how do you find event log?

Also, many posts for other models talk about the alt button...where is that on the Pearl?

thanks.
John

Wirelessly posted (t-mobile pearl)

I don't have a pearl, so I won't try to describe its alt button, but when you figure it out, press and hold the alt button and press lglg and you'll get the event log.

The Event log is found by holding down the ALT key and pressing L G L G.
The ALT key is at lower left on the kb.

how far back does the event log go? i've had my bb for about two months and it seems like that list went on forever, although, i've never checked it or cleared it before.

It does go on forever. That's why its good to clear out every now and then.

Although most do not use the event log other than to delete its contents every once in a while, it can be used to identify exceptions or errors. In most cases, you wont need to worry about it.

Good luck,

The Gecko
