Default 8130 slowing down, NO streaming anymore???

Please Login to Remove!

My 8130 has slowed down quite a bit, I'm getting the hourglass often and delays between button pushes, 10363495 file free, only apps i have open are the browser brick breaker and sms. I've got a 2gb sd and have moved all of my pictures to it. Any help with this?

Also I've used orb MANY times with absolutely no problems but over the past month everytime the media player opens to stream it the media player freezes and i have to go back to the bookmarks or url page, any ideas with this too??

Thanks for any help

Have you done a battery pull while powered on?

yeah many times, i've deleted everything I recently downloaded and did a battery pull still can't stream audio. video sites (tinytube etc) work just fine to stream, but I can stream audio, and I downloaded the video stream program from the blackberry mobile site, and that doesn't even load up.

I assume you have 10mb free after you moved the pix, etc to the card. That's a bit low for an 8130, but not terrible. You can delete unused languages, the sample video, things that are in the sticky about increasing free memory. I'm not sure why your phone is now so slow. I bet your free memory is not the problem. It may be what you have running on the browser in the background as you stated it was running. For streaming to work you should probably not have anything running as streaming takes up a lot of bandwidth (different than free memory which is needed for storage of messages, etc). The 8130 has less available memory than the 8100 but the faster network enables streaming some lowres audio/video. It may be the network also.

I have also seen this slow down over the last several days. I have pulled the battery and downloaded and used the soft-reset app suggested here. My memory seems fine, but I will double check the actual number today. I have had my BB for just over a month, and then suddenly it starts slowing down. I am also wondering if it is a network thing.
