Just wondering if they ever got the handango app to work with the 8130. I am at a vendor show and some moron giving a presentation is telling everybody to use handango, and I dont feel like reloading a ton of os's back onto the phone come tomorrow cause she was an idiot. Oh and just so you know She says the palm treo is the best smartphone because it has infrared. Just thought i would throw that in for admusment

I haven't heard of any handango problems recently. However, I certainly wouldn't load the handango app on my phone! Nothing wrong with other apps on Handango but their download app is junk on OS 4.3 (or at least it was.)

The only problem I have run into is not being able to install the apps with desktop manager. It wasn't a Handango issue. It was an issue with the DM not recognizing the software version on the 8130. I had to download the US Cellular Version of the device software on my computer and then the DM recognized the 8130.

What the OP is referring to is an issue where the Handango app is downloade OTA using the BB's browser. The app puts the device into an endless reboot and requires that the OS be reloaded. Not a fun thing, especially if you didn't have a backup of your data. This was only an issue on handhelds with OS 4.3.

Yeah I was just curious if they have the ota resolved. I don't really want to try it on my pearl. But at the same time I guess I might have to to find out for sure. Customers like the handango app. I just don't really want 50 bb coming in for a reset. Never fails 49 of them wont have backed anything up prior to the ota download.
