Default Cannot sync calendar to 8130

Please Login to Remove!

Three of my bosses at work all got Pearls yesterday, two of which I was able to install everything just fine and sync everything just fine, but one of them I cannot get the calendar to sync for the life of me. I've tried everything I could find on here to get it to work (delete CICAL service book, update phone software and DM, delete calendar entries with attachments, etc) but none have solved my problem. It actually starts to sync it, but stops after entry 11 and says "unknown error". I've tried deleting entry 11 in the calendar, as well the entry after and the entry before. Any suggestions or ideas? The only thing I've noticed that could make a difference, is that the other two are using Outlook 2003 on Vista, and the one that isn't working is using Outlook 2003 on XP. Do you think that would cause any problems?

Is this a sync via USB cable with Desktop Manager? If so, have you looked at the sync logs?

Yes it is. I looked at them, and it just stops at a certain calendar entry. It doesn't give any error or anything. I've tried deleting that calendar entry, but then it just stops on the 11th entry. I'm stumped. :/

I'm using windows xp with outlook 2003, I had a similar problem and resolved it this morning. my problem was very unique, sometimes I had created recurring scheduled events in my calendar, I labeled them "open sales mtg", when I would fill an appointment I would click on the "open sales mtg" entry in my calendar and be prompted with change this occurrence or change this series, I would change the occurrence (relabeling the "open sales mtg" title with "meet Mr. Smith", for some reason Outlook and my Blackberry did not like this, I too could sync up to a certain number and then the calendar would fail, I looked at the log and the entry the log ended on was similar to what I have described, I deleted the "series" and my blackberry sync'ed properly. not sure if this will help but it worked for me.

I had similar issues on my boss's 7130 -- it would fail everytime it hit a certain contact, even if I deleted that particular contact. Turned out to be error's in his outlook PST file. I would run the scanpst tool (or scanost if on a exchange server) and see if that helps.

Thank you, both of you! I'll try both of these and let you know what happens, because he does have reoccurring events in his calendar for March Madness and our software development meetings.

It was the IT meetings series that was causing the hang up. Thanks for the help!
