Default NEW O/S Question

Please Login to Remove!

First am I right in assuming that the 12/15MB that are "reserved" in the media options is basically "dead space" (I have all my media on a SD card)

So if my pearl reads as 24MB free that is 24 plus the 12 that is "reserved"

If these assumptions are correct does anyone know if there is a possibility that whenever the new o/s is released that this issue is going to be addressed by either eliminating the nessessity to have any memory reserved or AT LEAST lowering it to a much more reasonable level (ie 3-5MB)

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

On the new Os it appears you set the "Device Memory Limit" to 12 or 15mb, and the "Reserved Pictures Memory" to 0, 2 or 5mb.

What does "device memory limit" refer to and that doesnt seem to actually in the end free up any more "usable" memory
