Default Gmail Application help

Please Login to Remove!

I know this has been discussed but I need clarification. I prefer the Gmail Application to the gmail through BIS. My question is why is the BIS gmail instant and the gmail application takes 10-15 minutes for new mail to show up?

Can the gmail application be configured to show up as fast as the BIS? What settings should I use? I know I can manually refresh the gmail app, but it would be more convenient to have it do it itself at a quicker rate. Thanks!!!

I don't think you can increase the refresh rate (at least, I couldn't figure out how to do it). You'll have to refresh manually.

I know the gmail application refreshes on its own, because I get messages in the inbox every so often without doing a manual refresh. Sometimes through test emails, faster than others. There should be a way to speed the automatic new mail checks to be as quick as the BIS. Anyone have an answer how?

I haven't seen any options in the Gmail application for this. Maybe they will add it on a future release.
