Default How to turn off key volume?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my 8130 from Sprint, and it's really confusing so far. I was following some info on a search I performed on here to turn my ringer volume up, but somehow wound up turning the key beep volume. How can i turn that back off?

If you want to turn your ringer volume up all you have to do is change the profile to loud.

I got the ringer volume figured out, I just somehow turned the key volume on, I prefer it to be silent. How do I go back to that?

OK, I guess I did not realize it has 2 different key tones. The one in the menu y;all made me look up was already set to off, and when I changed it to on, it was beeping. What I'm talking about is when I try to dial a number, it plays the number tones from the speaker, like on a home phone. how do I turn that off?

Thanks

To my knowledge, you can't. I could be wrong though. Maybe someone else will have a better answer.

Like option94 stated, I don't think you can turn off that key tone. I've tried to as well..

True, and in other OS versions with your Profile in "quiet" or "vibrate" mode, your keytones are silent.

Finally.

Default Turning key tone off

As long as you don't mind fiddling with your profiles, there IS a way. Go to

Profiles>Advanced>Quiet/Vibrate>Menu>Edit>Phone

In that menu, change the Out of HOlster and Volume settings to the ring and volume you want. Save, and you're good to go.

Quiet and Vibrate don't have key tones, so once the volume and ring is to your liking, you can dial in any inappropriate place you like!
