I was an Alltel Authorized Agent until I sold my agency earlier this year. As an authorized agent, we worked our butts off to know, learn, understand, and be well educated on every phone we had. Its not an easy task. I too take a little offense with putting all sales people in a class of thieves, liars, and cheats. Alltel does give commissions for sales of their phones, BUT takes back all commissions paid if the customer cancels the service within the first half of their contract length. So it does no one any good by intentially misleading the customer, it will come back to bite them.

End result, I am bummed you were misinformed but please, kindly go back and talk to the rep and let them know, it was unfortunately probably a completely lack of knowledge.

I have been able to receive pic msgs on my 8830 by having MMS sent to my email address that I pull on my BB rather than to my mobile number. No, I cannot send MMS out, I can send pics that are in the phone out via email but I cannot send them to other phones, it has to go to an email address (computer). I am working towards the Curve, I will finally get it all.

mms works fine on the curve, but a buddy got the pearl and no mms
