Hi, i'm just wondering if anyone can give me suggestions of things I can do with my phone without having a data plan?

Organizer functions: Calandar, addressbook, memo, tasks,
Media: listen to audio files; shoot, view and share pictures and videos

Check out the BB faqs, there are some programs that require data that you can use, mabey someone can point a link for you.

Verizon requires a data plan just to have a blackberry in use on your account
