Default MMS question

Please Login to Remove!

I have been trying to send pictures to other people's phones via MMS and every time I try, the phone gives me an error message that the sending failed and people aren't getting the messages. I tried sending them via SMS and, as I expected, people get the messages but without the picture. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong and if there is any way I can fix this? Thanks!

Menu>Options>Mobile Network>Data Services (is it ON?) If not turn it on and test. Otherwise try changing your camera format from Large to small or medium and try again.

Apparently, VZW does not support MMS (edit) on BB except 8130. . . lots of threads have been posted here in the past few months . . . also includes work arounds for sending pics... do a search and you will find . . .

Have you tried a hard reset (remove battery from the device while powered, then reinsert)? Once the hard reset is done highlight the MMS message, press the menu key, then select resend.

I thought you could send MMS messages from the 8130 on Verizon. I have seen others here who have been able to do it.

Their Website indicates that they can.....

"Picture Messaging
Picture Messaging is a simple and affordable mobile service that can transform the way you communicate. You can send full color pictures, sounds, and text all in one message. Use your Picture Messaging capable phone to take pictures and send them to whomever you want, whenever you want, even non-Verizon Wireless users. Learn more. You also can get custom backgrounds and picture caller ID on your Verizon Wireless phone. Verizon Wireless features Text, Picture and Video Messaging bundles with unlimited IN Messaging to other Verizon Wireless mobile numbers for as low as $10 per month plus airtime. "

Tried the battery pull trick and it worked like a charm. Really weird that that's all you have to do. Thanks for the help.
