Default Pearl turns into a brick while in holster

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone experienced their Pearl turn into a brick while in the holster? Meaning you have no way to know that you have incoming calls. No ring, no missed call messages, etc. The only way I found out it was dead was when I tried to place a call and it said "call failed". It worked fine after a battery pull.

This has happened twice recently and I'm wondering if it's a defective device or some other issue. Thanks in advance.

Yes, everything was working fine. I didn't change any settings. My better half tried to call and couldn't get through. So I tested it from a land line - same thing. Then I tried to place a call with my Pearl and it said "call failed". After a battery pull, I could place calls normally and it would ring in the holster. It's intermittent but very annoying.

I am running the version that came out about a month ago, but I experienced this issue prior to updating.

The problem is intermittent and only occurs when I use the holster. It's not an issue when I use the leather belt clip/case or no case at all. I realize I could "solve" the problem by not using the holster, but I want to protect the device and sometimes the holster is more practical than the belt clip.

ok let me sum this up real quick. by using the word "intermittent", think about its meaning first. basically intermittent is sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt. so if you made no changes to the device and you have "intermittent" activity on something that isnt supposed to operate "intermittently" then the device is faulty. i would take it back and get a replacement but thats just me
