I have a spangly new car, with integrated bluetooth gubbins. It will download your address book from the sim card only.
As all of my addresses are on the phone, how do I copy them to the sim?
Many thanks oh wise bbf
The only way I've learned how so far is to go into my address book and transfer then one at a time number by number...
I still believe there is an easier way, but that's what Tmobile told me lol

yea i was thinking of that too but if you have a large address book then he "might" be too lazy like us Americans searching for the easy way by his lingo he def isnt from the states

I knew what he meant.. just because i'm cool like that.
And I'm by no means lazy thanks!
I have yet to find another way other than one by one transfer... I'll look into it a little more.. maybe something in Desktop Manager could do it?

i was speaking about americans in general. not everyone is but a lot are. as for the desktop manager idea, its a good one but i know 4.3 doesnt have that option.

sim card are like sd cards. and desktop manager isnt different between carriers.
If that is true then you wouldn't see a SIM card on your DM unless you had one in your phone. Just like an SDcard.. if it's not in my phone, my DM doesn't pick it up :P
anyway, on topic.. still trying to find a faster way =)
Got a new bmw, with integrated bluetooth - the stereo downloads your address book from the sim, hence i need to copy my address book
Can you help
hmmm thats interesting though. thats not how they are made here in the states when it comes to cars. here the car will bluetooth to your device and just play the audio through the car stereo but i think maybe that new microsoft sync system might have a hard drive database.
On a BB to move contacts from device to SIM is a 1 by 1 process! Unless there is a store there that has a transfer machine!
Keep in mind most SIM cards will only store 250 contacts and it breaks them up ie;if you have bob and have a work, mobile and home number for him the SiM sees that as 3 entries
