My current understanding is all applications have to run off the built in memory and cannot run off the 2GB flash card I have installed.
A friend of mine who also has a pearl says he can run apps off the flash card. Included in apps was google mobile maps. I downloaded it in front of him. On my pearl it automatically downloads the app to the phone memory (verizon is my carrier). He says when he downloads an app. he is asked to where he wants to store the download, and can download to his 2GB card. He says he can subsequently run the apps. off the card. (his carrier is T-mobile).
Is there a restriction with my carrier that does not let me store the app. on the 2GB card, and is there a restriction that prevents apps from running from the card?
he can download the instalation file to the media card and then install from the card itself. When the app is installed it installs to the device memory. Anything else he said is just false.
so it does not matter which carrier you have, we are all limited to the same factory installed memory, and we can all use the flash card to store certain data, but all apps run from native memory and those which use the flash card will do so on any pearl irregardless of carrier?
