Default Can the BB 8120 view HTML emails?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I was browsing through Blackberrytoday.com when I found a "HTML Email viewer". Does this mean that the standard email client that comes with the BB can't view HTML emails?

Thanks,
Amnesia

The native blackberry email is text only. You will be able to read html emails to degrees depending on the source email, but the blackberry will not render the html email as authored.

You can get

BBsmart or empower that would allow you to see the email in HTML

The Empower Mail Viewer that the OP linked above is a pretty good viewer and shows some of the graphics. However, aiharkness is right. You won't get the email "as authored," even with Empower.

Cheers guys, I'll give it a go.

Will Empower replace my default email viewer, and also allow me to view normal emails?

Yes, you can set it to be the default email viewer. You can toggle the setting off and on.
