I was trying to drill a hole on my pearl but it broke. Is there like a rubber back cover to replace it? It's kinda slippery.

Were you drilling the hole with the back ON the phone still, like in the pictures?

If I was a gambling man, and I am, I would put money on yes.

AH! I feel the blackberry's pain! wow... That could easily lead to a drill bit-sized hole in your speaker From crappy sound, to no sound in 30 seconds or less

That would be best case scenario. Drill bit-sized hole in the circuit board would be even worse than no sound. I don't think warranty will replace it for a bad circuit board if the case and speaker have a hole the same size in them.
