So I've looked back 6 pages, and I can't find the answers to these two questions.

I just got a memory card to clear up unnecessary memory on my phone. I still have problems, because I text like it's my job, causing me to need to delete my text messages at least once a day. So, here's what I'm wondering:

Is it possible to set up my phone to store my text messages on my media card rather than my device? Once I get them on there, I'll at least have a bit more room.

After that, I was wondering if there was a way to install some program/mod that would allow me to set up the BB to automatically delete text messages that are 2 days old rather than 15 days old.

This way I'll still be able to keep my text message for a few days, but I won't have to go through it and delete all of them manually, and wont have a thousand text messages stored on my card after half a month.

1. No you can't store them on the BB.

2. Not that I know of, maybe someone else knows.

Wirelessly posted (blackberry 950)

Ouch seems the answer is definite

You can always highlight a specific date and select delete prior

if you highlight today's date which should be at the top of the sms screen, you can go to the menu and hit "delete prior" instead of deleting all the messages manually

But seriously if you read and follow the sticky on how to Optimize your memory you will have plenty of room without having to delete very ofter. I have over 14,000 emails and probably 8,000 SMS on my device and I still have plenty of free memory.

Good Luck!
